New MembersThe California Homicide Investigators Association (CHIA) is the largest association in the United States that is devoted solely to the education and training of law enforcement professionals who respond to and investigate homicide crimes. Membership is not just limited to professionals in the United States; CHIA continues to acquire members from areas such as Canada and the UK. The membership cost is $30 USD annually and not transferrable. MEMBERSHIP CRITERIAIn order to become a member of the California Homicide Investigators Association (CHIA), you must meet the following criteria: You must be a municipal, county, state, or federal agent and/or other publicly funded, certified and/or reserve law enforcement officer.
