Website Accessibility Statement
The California Homicide Investigators Association ("CHIA," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
While CHIA strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website, particularly given constraints of our third-party website hosting platform. CHIA is committed to remediating accessibility barriers as they are identified and as resources and platform capabilities allow.
Ongoing Efforts
Our accessibility efforts include, but are not limited to:
Third-Party Platform
This website is hosted on a third-party platform (Wild Apricot). Certain accessibility features are dependent on that platform's design and functionality, and CHIA's ability to modify certain elements may be limited accordingly. CHIA will continue to evaluate its hosting platform and available tools to improve accessibility over time.
Feedback and Accommodation Requests
If you experience difficulty accessing any content or feature on this website, or require information in an alternative format, please contact us using the information below. We will make reasonable efforts to respond promptly and provide the requested information, accommodation, or access.
